Internal Sales Executive

Job Purpose:  

As an internal Sales Executive you will be responsible for generating new business leads and to promote the company’s services and products to customers. Working closely with the Northern based internal Sales / Marketing Executive this role will cover the South of England and Wales. As part of this you will be required to maintain the central sales data base ensuring completeness of information including customer details, lead generation activity and enquiry details. Whilst most of the activity will be carried out at our Luton office some customer’s visits and visits to Head Office may be required.  All work will need to be completed to a high-quality standard and to the current good practices. As part of this you will be required to undertake other aspects of additional activity as business needs dictate.

Key Duties:

  • Proactively promote the businesses services and products to new customers.
  • To generate new business leads with lead qualification.
  • Handle customer enquiries in a professional and effective manner.
  • Record all activity and information on the central data base.
  • To work closely with the Northern based Internal Sales / Marketing Executive
  • Maintain the sales data base to keep continuously updated.
  • Provide reports covering all sales activity and results in both Southern and Northern area’s.
  • Completing all documentation accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the company procedures.
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • IT Literate, Windows, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Must be prepared to learn about the industry and use of company products.
  • Track-record of success in a similar role.
  • Full current UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry is desirable

Salary: £18k prorata for PT
